Why Seniors Should use Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a wonderful addition to a senior's current medical treatment. Acupuncture strengthens the body, brings the body back into balance, and restores energy and vigor. Regular acupuncture treatment can help reduce or eliminate pain, improve energy, strengthen the immune system, improve digestion, and promote more restful sleep.
Monique Wheeler, L.Ac. has experience working with the unique health concerns faced by older adults. She started the Acupuncture for Seniors program, which provided treatment bi-monthly at the White Crane Wellness Center in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. The Acupuncture for Seniors program started at White Crane in October of 2008. Currently the program is on hold (as of January 2010) but may resume in the future.
